The Happy Hippie Haven is located in Thorburn, Nova Scotia. We are located on 50 beautiful acres with two ponds, lots of wildlife, and trees and wild flowers galore. We are a bunch of crazy happy hippies; enjoying life, keeping it natural and just trying to spread peace and love. We are eclectic Pagans who have been following the Pagan path for almost twenty years. We hosted Pagan events and small festivals in Ontario for 11-12 years, and have been on staff at a couple of the large Pagan festivals in Ontario. We have led numerous Pagan workshops, meditations and Rituals. At the Happy Hippie Haven, we will be hosting Sabbat Celebration year round, summer campouts and small festivals.

The Happy Hippie Haven is not just a retirement home for us old hippies! It is a safe haven for animals, wild and domestic. There is no hunting allowed on the property and we ask all guests to respect all the animals that live here. The Happy Hippie Haven is a pet rescue. We have several rescue dogs and cats of our own, plus do foster care and rehabilitation for pets in need. We also have chickens, and will be adding ducks and goats in the future. We do not have “livestock”; we have pets with benefits! All our hens have names and are a beloved part of our family. Our hens are all pastured and spend their days foraging in the forest, just like chickens should! They produce excellent eggs, which are available for purchase. In the future, we will also have duck eggs for sale and goat's milk. We will also be selling fresh made maple syrup every spring.

Need a help with an animal/pet? Just send us a quick email, we will try our best to help! We can offer emergency housing for most dogs and cats, and some "farm animals". We have experience with newborn puppies and kittens, bottle feeding and birthing, and taming of feral kittens. We are also experienced in dog training and rehabilitation.
